Welcome to www.desertgirl.us  This site will show you and tell you a little bit
about how life is in the area where I live. My life is divided between
two cities, Juarez - El Paso, between two countries, Mexico and USA. It is  very common for people who live in either of these cities to cross the border

on a daily basis, or once in a while, to go to work or to school, to go
shopping, or for entertainment.  Although Juarez and El Paso are two cities just separated by the Rio
Grande (as known in the US side), or El Rio Bravo (as known in Mexico), life
differs a lot between one city and the other.

Still, there are some people who have lived in Juarez, Mexico for many
years and have never been in El Paso, USA. As also there are many people in
El Paso, who have never dared to go to Juarez. But on the other hand, there
are thousands, like me, who are used to be coming and going, used to the
long waiting lines at the border bridges at peak hours, to go to USA. At
certain times, there are also waiting lines to cross to Juarez, but the
waiting time is shorter, since to enter Mexico from the US, you are not
required to show a passport
